I am using dd-wrt v14929 on a WRT54GS2 v1 and find it rock solid. I'm using the unit as a repeater bridge and it works wonderfully. Only thing I had to change from the instructions was that I didn't turn off the SSID broadcast when I put it in Client Bridge mode first, leave it on. Then when you change to Repeater Bridge mode, it will already be on and working.

great tutorial video. have you tried using the recommended build Brainslayer 14929 with this router? wondering if your experience with 10709 is much better than 14929.
